Text Box: The Wyandotte Building is one of the jewels of architecture in downtown Columbus. Completed in 1897, architect Daniel H. burnham used all his creative abilities as well as practical applications in the design of Wyandotte. The bay windows that distinguish the building were designed for the purpose of allowing light and air to flow into the building prior to the conveniences of the 20th century. Originally built for the Deshler family and purchased by the State of Ohio in 1917, the Wyandotte escaped demolition when it was placed on the National registry of historic buildings. It is now owned and operated by Wyandotte Ltd. Call 220-8900 for more information.
