The new division will offer a full range of services either as a Construction Management at Risk or Construction Management Agency. Services will be tailored to the specific needs of each client. “Obviously we’re hoping to capture a greater share of the construction market and eventually expand our geographical service area” says John McCarty, Vice President of the new division. According to McCarty, Corna/Kokosing will target larger, unique, fast track projects with longer schedule periods and with owners that have a low risk tolerance. When asked why C/K decided to expand into this arena, McCarty replied, “It’s customer service plain and simple. Construction Management provides another delivery method to offer our clients. We’ve had several experiences recently where a client was very interested in working with us, but because we didn’t ‘officially’ have that construction management title, we were excluded from competing for the job.” Mark Corna, President of Corna/Kokosing echoes that sentiment, “Customer Service is very important to us and providing a wide array of construction services to meet every client’s need is critical.
